Sean Reynolds
Sean has been passionate about robotics since the first time he saw a robotic arm as a young boy. While earning his masters degree he was surprised to find the most prestigious university in the area didn’t have a humanoid robot to work with, so he founded a company to build one for them.
He has been working with neural networks since before there were tools to do so. He created back propagation algorithms before tensorflow and other platforms existed. He used neural networks to control helicopters in 2009 and was published on Engadget, Make Magazine, and Gizmodo.
He has been working in computer vision for many years. He has developed sensors with dot patterns and cameras as well as implementing point segmentation algorithms for feature detection and extraction. He has brought several products to market for various companies and clients and he loves complicated challenges of all kinds.
He has an amazing presence, does quite a bit of client facing, has mentored and managed teams of people, built teams from the ground up, is innovative, creative, writes algorithms and loves to learn new things.
